This is a high level course for those working in wines or for the serious enthusiast. It is ideal for employees in supervisory roles involving wine sales and service. Students gain a thorough understanding of the factors influencing style, quality and price of wines from the major wine producing regions. They will develop analytical tasting abilities by using The Systematic Approach to Tasting, by means of a carefully selected series of over 80 wine samples.
Your Certified Educator John Callow DipWSET, who is one of the best qualified tutors in The North West, will be your teacher. In addition, we have an extensive student's area on our website with lots of practice multiple choice questions accessible 24 hours a day, marked immediately once you have finished. There is online support for all our students, and John responds directly to questions by email.
On the final day, there is a comprehensive theory and tasting revision session before the exam to fully prepare you. All this is exclusive to candidates studying WSET courses in Manchester through Northern Wine School.
It is HIGHLY recommended that you have studied and successfully completed the Level 2 Wines and Spirits course before enrolling. Prior assumed knowledge is expected and there will be no time to go over this material again at Level 3, which builds on all you have already learned. Revisiting your L2 textbook and notes is suggested before the classroom sessions commence. If in doubt, John will be happy to discuss things with you by email or over the phone. Just get in touch with us!
