For our French Wine Tasting Lunch, you'll be greeted with a glass of Crémant or Champagne. We'll have exclusive use of 63 Degrees upstairs dining room in the characterful surroundings of the Northern Quarter. Wooden floors and exposed beams really add to the historic experience of industrial Manchester.

Then we take you through the secrets of becoming a professional wine taster, as you sip and swirl the first three carefully selected wines. We put your sense of smell to the test, using our highly popular Nez du Vin aroma vials for a light-hearted ice-breaker. Next,discover how your taste buds adapt to bitter, sweet, salty, spicy and acidic foods. Understand their impact on the characteristics of the wines.
We try out your newly acquired food and wine matching skills, when you begin your superb 3 course lunch at 1pm. Your stunning menu is a contemporary collection of dishes showcasing the season's finest ingredients. Six tasting glasses of specially matched wines will be served, two for the starter, main and dessert. All will have been selected to complement the major flavour components of each dish. There may be some exciting surprise wildcards, one of which will be a special fortified/dessert wine. See if you discover a new favourite!
For 63 Degrees, 10 wines representing the finest French wine regions will be served alongside a delicious 3 course menu. The seasonal options are created by Michelin Guide listed Chef and Proprietor, Eric Moreau and his talented team. Expect modern twists on classics such as Pineapple Crème Brûlée, as well as his signature dish Chicken 63 Degrees- Slow cooked, deliciously moist and tender chicken.
Finish at around 4pm, sad we know. But you'll have a useful booklet of tasting notes and a WSET pocket wine and food matching guide to take home as a memento. Who knows, you may even make some new friends with your fellow dining companions. An experience which will make a lasting memory, talked about for a long time!
