Is the Prosecco bubble about to burst?
Never understood the appeal of this drink. The main selling point is that it is a cheap fizz and very quaffable for a lot of people it seems. Sales in The UK seem to be slowing recently after huge growth in the past few years.
I hope the bubble is bursting cant stand the stuff and its everywhere! Much prefer a Cava or a nice Cremant any day!
They aren't all cheap though are they? Some are better than others. There are superior ones that are produced in smaller quantities with more complex flavours and aromas.
I agree with you vonlost that Cremants are a much better drink than Prosecco. We had one from The Loire recently and it was beautiful. They are made the same way as Champagne I believe but The Loire one was nice and dry and fruity but much less acidic than many Champagnes we've had.
