I want to buy a decent rose as a gift. I don't usually drink rose myself so a bit stuck. Can anyone help with suggestions?

I would recommend one from Tavel in The Rhone wine region of France. I was in the region earlier this year and this was in all the supermarkets-it's lovely and a bit special. The village is the only one in the valley to solely make rose wines I believe. They are a bit more powerful than most roses. I think you'll have to try your local independent wine merchants or online for some though.

Harvey Nicholls have a very nice selection. There is one called Chateau Minuty that is a special edition with a label designed by Ashley Mary, an artist from Minneapolis showing the best of Saint-Tropez. Would make a special gift I think.

Thanks for the suggestions both of you. The Tavel sounds great but really hard to find round here. I got a bottle of the one you suggested @sybbie917 and it does make a lovely gift with it being a special edition and design.
