Becoming a Sommelier
Are WSET Awards advisable for someone wanting to become a Sommelier? I have no restaurant experience. Would it be best to start with a job in a restaurant first as a waiter?
Welcome winejourney. Experience gained working in a restaurant would be invaluable provided that wine is an important part of the business. The Court of Master Sommeliers recommend attaining WSET Level 3 if you want to achieve the level of Master Sommelier.
