This is a short, fun course accredited by the Sake Sommelier Academy and delivered by a Certified Sake Sommelier. It’s great for those who are interested in furthering their knowledge about sake and is also the first step into the world of Sake.
You can take this course in the following ways:
You’ll learn about the origins of this fabled drink, the etiquette and the way it is produced. There is also an introduction to the various types of sake – this includes trying five different types at different temperatures – from sparking to a premium Ginjo or Daiginjo. You will be given a complete set of tasting notes and an official certificate of participation from the Sake Sommelier Academy.
You don’t need any prior knowledge of sake (you do need to be over 18 as there’s tasting involved)

Due to the current global health pandemic WSET has introduced computer-based testing via remote invigilation (also known as remote proctoring or online exam) to enable you to sit your exam.
In order to protect the integrity of these exams, WSET has set up procedures to enable the exam to be taken online – please read our Candidate Information document or get in touch with any questions you have.
We’re really into wine, into spirits & into sake. We love all of them. Luckily.
