Whether you’re a wine pro, studying this amazing drink or a fan who would like to understand more, one of our Nez du Vin kits might be just the thing for you. They also make for really good fun quizzes.
Up to 90% of taste comes from smell – that’s a lot of wine pleasure, and these kits are an amazing way to get to know it better.
Do you have a nose for wine? Well, this is how you get one! Le Nez du Vin is a collection of aroma kits that help you learn about the aromas and characteristics of wine. They enable you to identify individual tastes and notes, enriching your vocabulary and also your pleasure in wine.
Developed by a legendary French wine chemist, Jean Lenoir, these kits are used around the world by wine professionals and wine fans alike. We use them at The Northern Wine School as part of our wine tasting experiences and wine education courses.
The kits contain a number of small bottles, each one delivering a specific aroma that can be found in wine. You also get a beautifully produced book to help you understand more about the bouquets that you’re experiencing. The aromas are guaranteed for five years and, in our experience, last much longer than that.
This kit contains six aromas that are commonly found in wine.

It’s ideal for beginners and for people who want an alternative quiz idea up their sleeves – it’s great fun. Once you know these scents, you will find identifying the wine you like much easier.
